About The Speaker:
Richard (Rich) became Vice President – Regulatory Affairs August 31, 2025. In this role, Rich has responsibility for directing, coordinating, and advocating on the Company’s behalf with Commission personnel and external stakeholders for key regulatory filings such as rate cases and large capital construction projects for all of our utilities in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and Minnesota. He is also responsible for leading efforts to develop, obtain regulatory approval and implementation key customer rates and programs, including the recently-filed data center rates as well as the Company’s electric generation and natural gas infrastructure projects.
Rich began his career at the WEC Energy Group in April 2013 as a Senior IT Auditor. He progressed to Audit Supervisor in January 2014 and was promoted to IT Audit Manager in June 2015. In 2016, Rich became Manager of Regulatory Planning and Systems where he was responsible for successfully integrating the state regulatory teams of Wisconsin Energy Corporation and the Integrys Energy Group. Next, Rich transitioned to Director – State Regulatory Affairs in 2017 and then his current role, where he continues to leverage his over fifteen years of outside experience, analytical capabilities, and communications skills as a business consultant as well as financial and IT auditor at Ernst & Young, LLP, Northwestern Mutual, and Ascension Health.
Rich earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Wisconsin.
